Bhagyalakshmi R Sira BAMS, MS, MSCP
Bhagyalakshmi R. Sira, our Ayurveda doctor was born in Karnataka, India. She has been awarded with Ayurveda Acharya and Ayurveda Dhanwantari by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
She completed her studies at the Govt Ayurveda Medical College, Bellary, Karnataka. The bachelor's program consisted of four and a half years of college education plus one year internship. The main subjects were Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Toxicology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery, Sanskrit, Yoga, Vedic literature, Ayurveda samhithas, practical experience in various Ayurvedic methods at the universities, in the hospitals and in the rural health service. She has also obtained Masters in Ayurveda (Shalyatantra) where she became expert in Ayurvedic management of Anorectal disorders, Gastro intestinal disorders and Panchakarma therapies.
During her studies she has also attended some eminent ayurvedic doctors and Vaidyas (Traditional ayurvedic practitioners) and worked with them. She acquired expertise related to production of drugs, collection of herbs for medicines production, Panchakarma (Ayurveda-based detox) treatments of inpatients and outpatients. She has presented papers at many national and international podiums. After graduating, she has experience with major Ayurveda groups in India, such as Patanjali Yogpeet & Reaserch center, Arya Vaidya shaala. She is a certified yoga teacher.
She has completed Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has also completed basic pranic healing course.
